productive morning

 I am typing this while sitting on my sheet-less mattress right now. My feet are out in front of me and my back is against the wall. There is a warm, yet kind of chilly breeze flowing through our room as I have each of our bedroom windows open slightly in celebration of this delightfully, warm January day.
Our sheets are in the wash, that's why this mattress is bare at the moment. And my baby girl is taking a little afternoon snooze... I guess that would be why I've decided to write a little something on this space of mine.
I'm enjoying the act of sitting. Well, I guess, I'm kind of lounging. I've had quite the productive morning. Mainly filled with cleaning and tending to Sage. This may seem easy to some, but the combination of those two things can be exhausting. Sage was really helpful this morning. She did a good job of entertaining herself with her books and toys. Occasionally I noticed her come around me to see what I was getting into. I enjoy this, though. She likes observing her Mama.
Once I was finished folding and putting away some clothes ( oh god, I hate that part of laundry)...we headed outside. Papa and Simone were outside feeding and playing with the chickens, so we watched and played too!

At one point Sage ran way from us down the driveway. She runs so funny. She will move her arms pretty dramatically back and forth, and then takes these awkward, gigantic steps. Her method does give her some speed though. I had to run after that cute little thing and bring her back to me.

and once we got back to the chickens, she had more exploring to do.

And Simone evidently had some drinking to do. She was one thirsty pup.

Well, the washing machine just buzzed! It's time for sheets to visit the dryer.
And my baby is crying... I think she is reading my mind and wants to go on a walk.
Back outside we go.
