We made it to the beach on Sunday.
A big day for us! Sage got to see the ocean for the first time ever.
I was so excited as Kyle and I approached the sidewalk that led up to the beach. Leading up to this trip, I have been thinking a lot about how Sage was going to react.
I envisioned our grand entrance bringing a smile to her sweet face; the one smile that is so big her little nose scrunches up. I envisioned her jumping with excitement and seeing her point her finger and saying... "what's that?!"..."whats that?!"
In the end, though, my idea didn't exactly pan out.
She did look at it with bright eyes, but baby girl is a little scared of the ocean blue.
And she definitely does not like sand on her feet!!
But with each day we are here, she seems to be warming up to it.
I'm hoping by the last day, she will go in the water with us.
As for the adults...us well-seasoned beach vacationers....
We are happy, baby!
The sunshine...
...the beach
...and cold coronas with limes are such a beautiful thing!
