This orange ball was a lifesaver today in the grocery store.
Once we reached the frozen food section that was completely it for Sage- she decided to get fussy.

Ahhh!! I thought to myself...
Come on baby girl these are the final aisles before check out!!
But then, the bin of balls appeared!
I did what I told myself I would never do before I was a parent.
I bribed my baby with the balls to stop her from being fussy.
I've seen this trick done too many times with a cookie.
With just a little hesitation because I knew I didn't want to do this. I started saying it...
"Oh looook, Sage...a ball! Do you want one?
What color do you want?
If I give this to you, you need to be good for me, okay? :)"
And it worked, thankfully. It kept her occupied all the way through the check out line and into the car. She held on to that ball so tight on our drive home and once we got home she decided to keep holding on to it.
She did finally let go of it. And there is actually a little sad ending to this story. Simone got her paws on it, and after that occurred it didn't take long for the ball to pop. I'm pretty sure Sage witnessed this all happen, but she did well with the whole quick goodbye thing.
And if she happens to be sad over this. I know what will make her feel better.
She has a new favorite activity.
And it involves clean laundry and a hamper.
And she does this while giggling.
