Baby girl is growing. Yes, I know I have said this so many times, but it is just unbelievable how fast babies grow. Sage is into everything these days. I have caught her playing with the dog toys, sucking on my flip flop, and her most recent and favorite activity to do behind my back is splashing around in the dogs water bowl! I mean she really splashes... when she finds the opportunity to get her little hands in that bowl, she is determined to get water everywhere!
I also have been having a hard time feeding her lately. She has decided she no longer wants to be spoon fed...she wants to feed herself. I just end up pouring the bowl of food I make her onto her tray because I really don't know what to do in this type of situation. Once I do this, she tends to pick at her food and will manage to actually scoop some in her mouth, but mostly plays and spreads around the rest.
Her interest in wanting to try new things goes further than just wanting to feed herself. Sage has found a need to try and stand on her own.
She practices multiple times a day, and each day her balance gets better and better.
And every time she does this, she has to fall back down to the floor on her bum. In the beginning she would fall hard and sometimes cry. But she has been practicing and building muscle strength, so she can now go from standing to sitting on the floor gracefully :)
and, of course, once she is on the floor, she is off!
and she crawls on her feet. She did this from the beginning. We thought maybe she would grow out of it and start crawling on her knees, but it appears she prefers getting around on her hands and feet:)
