We did it!
I think so at least. WE tackled Sage's first cold and fever and all the madness that came with it!
The worst of it hit her yesterday. She woke up with a fever and a cough that just made my heart ache. Her way of coping was to sleep. She clung to Kyle and I all day in her feverish/sleepy state... and when she felt like crying... she did and loudly!
Oh boy, and along with these cries came spit up. The poor little thing would get herself so worked up:(
Needless to say, I think I may have changed my shirt about six times. Thankfully, yesterday was one of those days I didn't even think about showering.
Today has been much different. I've seen her smile a few times, and that cough she had yesterday is definitely not as harsh. I have a whole new appreciation for saline nasal spray, cool mist humidifiers, baby vapor rub, digital thermometers, and that sucking tool used for the nose that I previously said I wasn't a fan of. It for sure had my back yesterday.
So, that is all. I leave you with a couple pictures.
First, some vitamin C. Oranges are always my first go to food after an
illness. Sage isn't eating solid foods yet, but perhaps I can share the
comforts I get from this fruit to her through my breast milk.
And you will have to excuse me for being a little self-involved with these next ones...

I just love my new glasses and pretty coral crush lipstick |
And I'm feeling powerful!
Due to the healing mixture of my love and comfort and her antibodies...
my sweet Baby is feeling better:)
